The Art of
Michael P. Fräse
"My Dog - Rocky"
Size: 16 x 20 inches.
Medium: Winsor and Newton Artists oil - the best paint in the world.
Support: Canvas
Rocky is Michael's Shiba Inu. There have
been other paintings..there will be more.
Why not. Rocky is a a good subject.
This is a Japanese breed that is still somewhat rare in the US.
A good deal smaller the Japanese massive Akita
and the smallest of the seven original Japanese Breeds. Shiba have three
distinct parts of their temperament and its complex. The Fierce part makes them
the hunters they excel at and what they were bred for but can make them dog
aggressive and passive of their stuff. Unaltered Males have this in very large quantities.
Macho to the extreme. They are also gentle and charming and artless and open in
spirit..Makes a pretty interesting dog who's brave and loyal but you have to
earn it and a lot of fun but also very trying at times.
This is a breed that will reward you with
time spent working together.
You have time to bid.

"The
Eyes of Callie"

really doesn't look happy with whatever she encountered in the woods.
She has that just stay out of my way for a while and things will be fine
later look.
Cats are incredibly expressive and Micheal is excellent and catching those cat
moments in time. Bid on the
paintings..you'll be glad you did.

"Rocky sleeping under "Roska's Barns"
Rocky is Michael's best friend, a handsome Shiba Inu.
He is taking one of his many naps of the day under a painting of
Roska's old barns painted on the fourth of July, that was directly painted on the wall. The
original farm building, abandoned by all but possibly the ghosts of the pioneer
farm who worked this still productive farm. A cornfield
now surrounds the barn, the house and buildings give shelter to raccoons, mice
and other critters who choose to find comfort and safe nesting spots there.
The charming rural scene remains. It is something we dare not lose. A working American
farm.
For the excitement of an auction atmosphere,
Michael's work is available through his eBay Gallery.
